Project | Digital Strategy

This Digital Strategy proposal was made for the Student Experience Center at UA Little Rock. In this project, we focused on the office's missions and the audience to whom they were advertising. We were able to pinpoint each audience and analyze how we were advertising to them. We were also supposed to make a 30-day content calendar for the organization's social media page.

The takeaway for me from this project was:  Have a plan in mind and execute it. If you break down the plan into parts, it will be easier and more consistent when you execute it.

Project | Individual website for Writing for the Web

The website I created is for the College of Communications and Social Sciences (CSSC). This project included coding HTML and CSS, as well as developing content. The site is a directory which allows students to contact not only the dean of their college but also the chair and faculty members of their major department. The website was created with the ATOM editor.

The takeaway from this project was:  Coding an entire website is hard. Coding a website and making a website from templates are as different as night and day. Time, effort, and attention to detail were musts for this project.

Project | Software Documentation

In this project, two other graduate students and I created a Wix help system that reviews the basics of creating a digital portfolio. Our audience is students or writers with some technology knowledge. I created and managed the visual content for the project, including screenshots of the various steps in the process. I also managed the index for the project, since I was the only team member with that expertise.

The takeaways from this project were: Be able to work well on a team and think like you're part of your audience.

The technology projects below represent my exploration and experimentation with a variety of software and apps, such as Wix, Snagit, and RoboHelp. All of the projects are professional in style, highly usable, and made with clear and concise content. They are intended for a range of audiences from novice technology users to those who are more advanced and want to sharpen their skills. Some projects are also team-based, showing my ability to collaborate effectively. In Project 03, there is a reflection memo link in order to see more about what I learned from the project as well as a full website link to the project.
